Signature weapons or signs in Genshin Impact are weapons created by the game developers specifically for any character. In this guide, we will take a closer look at this term and find out how to determine the signature on a specific hero, and which characters generally have it.

What is a signature weapon

As we mentioned in the introduction, a signature weapon (signature, signa) is a weapon designed for a specific hero. This means that both the main and additional characteristics best reveal the abilities of a fighter.

Note that in practice this is not always the case. The best weapon option often depends on the build of the character; in addition, there are almost always alternative options, and sometimes they are not inferior to the signature, and in some cases they turn out to be more convenient and effective.

How to determine the signature

In fact, it is not always possible to immediately understand which weapon is the signature weapon for the hero; this is especially true for 4-star or long-released legendary characters. However, there are several ways to at least roughly determine the sign - we will analyze them below.

Weapon characteristics

Since the signature cannon is developed specifically for a specific hero, its characteristics should reveal his abilities as much as possible.< /p>

For example, Eimiya's signature, Thunder Pulse, can perfectly increase the damage from a normal attack, which the girl just uses.

There are also exceptions. For example, the Whirlwind Conqueror spear is Zhong Li's signature spear. Indeed, it can be useful for him, because it increases the strength of the shield, however, all other characteristics of the weapon are aimed at increasing the attack power, which the Archon does not particularly need in his classic support build.

Test run

This method works well for 5-star characters. With each new update, you can test the heroes of the current banner in a specific build and pack by completing a test run.

During the run, you can open the character menu and see what the hero is wearing in the build from the developers - this is usually his signature.

This does not apply to epic heroes - they are most often given some common weapon that suits them well, but is not a sign.

This method will also help determine the sign of the legendary hero. When a 5-star character appears in the event banner, it is his character that is most often represented in the armory.

For example, as we saw in the screenshots from the previous paragraph, Yeimiya wears Thunder Pulse in the test run, and Yae Miko wears Truth Kagura. These are the weapons we see in the current banner, which means that our guesses are correct, and these are their signatures.

The situation changes when a legendary hero has an epic signature weapon - then any weapon is put in the event banner the same type. For example, Albedo's Signa is a 4-star sword, so the drop rate of Precious Pool was increased during his banner.

Weapon history, appearance and lore

Very few weapons fall under this method of determining the sign, most of them are event-based and new players will no longer be able to get them.

Such weapons are Cinnabar Spindle - Albedo's signal from the White Dust and Snow Shadow event and Dodoko's Story - Klee's signal from the Summer! Island? Adventure!”.

Another similar sign can still be obtained - Nirvana Night Waltz for Fischl. He occasionally appears in weapon banners.

However, this method is not always reliable. For example, it is logical to assume that Kagotsurube Isshin, which we receive in the Kazuha legends quest, is his signature. However, despite the connection with his history, the weapon is not suitable for the samurai. In banners and test runs, he appears with an Oath of Freedom, which has the characteristics he needs. It turns out that for all counts, except for the lore, Oath of Freedom should be considered Kazuha's signature.

Another such example is Wolf's death. The name and story allude quite clearly to Razor, and the design is to Dilyuk. From the banners, runs, and art, it's also impossible to figure out who this weapon should belong to, and its stats fit both heroes pretty well. Thus, it is impossible to say with complete certainty for whom the Wolf's death is a sign.
